Office Chairs for Kids

by richard on Oct.31, 2003, under Office Chairs

office chairs for kids
My 7 year old was in the office, for the 5th time. What do i do?

Like i said in the last questions, i got a divorce last week. My children were acting out already though. Well, today, my 7 year old boy named Samuel, got in a fight with a 2nd grader. He is in first grade. They threw out the fists and were rolling on the grass clinging to each other. Well, the teachers came out, saw that they were pretty much hurting each other really bad. He was first sent to the principals, and asked why he did it. He said that the kid was calling him a B**ch. SO he attacked him. He got sent to his classroom, and all the kids laughed. He got to his chair, and accidentally hit someone with it on the way to his seat. The kid cried and he was sent to the corner. (they do that sometimes at our schools) So all the kids laughed at him as they played indoors, and he stood facing the wall for 10 more minutes. What do i do? I want him to feel like he did something wrong, but understand what he is feeling and trying to get him to tell me.

Good bare bottom spanking!

Office Furniture Leasing Companies

office furniture leasing companies

In today’s society the market changes so quickly and so do the trends that are associated with it. If you are trying to keep your establishment’s image up to date by creating unique atmosphere furniture is a must. Purchasing your furnishings can be a great idea but it is rather costly when it all comes down to it. A different option is to invest into a furniture lease that allow you to set the terms of how long you want to keep any furnishings and also the ability to add new elements to your office at anytime. There are various different leasing options available to you for either short or long term; typically the longer the lease the more cost efficient it will be. These leasing companies often will have many different styles and colours available in order to server your needs best. When it all comes down to it this option is great because of the flexibility that it allows you.

The elements of your establishments that make one of the biggest impacts upon a client are furnishings. The mood for a potential client is often decided upon them entering the room and seeing how you have tried to build a better atmosphere for your clients that welcomes them and conveys your professional attitude. Furniture lease is an ideal atmospheric enhancer as it allows you to get the style that you want for your office by having so many different options in not only the colouring of the furniture but also the style of the furniture you decide to lease. By enhancing this element you’re bound to keep your customers feeling happy and secure in their decision to come to you. Take advantage of the opportunity to create an atmosphere for lower costs than purchasing furniture that will face a ton of wear and tear and use a lease option.

More often than not you will find with the companies that deal with furniture lease that the longer the lease is the cheaper the monthly rate will be. This makes sense as with most leasing long term usually cuts some costs and unless you really only need it temporarily make sure to take advantage of all the benefits a long term lease would entail. Some benefits of long term leasing are lower costs, lower delivery fees and the ability to trade in on set date without having to spend more money. The benefits of a long term lease simply cannot be overlooked.

The style and different colours of furniture as we mentioned can vary greatly with a leasing company. Whether you are looking for a black oak table or a marble top conference table you will be able to find the option that will suite your needs best at a reasonable cost. Most of the different styles of furniture come in a number of different colours so it is easy to find something that will match the rest of your environment and will help enhance your businesses image. By taking part in a furniture lease you will have power and a ton of flexibility over how your office will look and the furniture that you will get.

When considering furnishing for your office it’s a good idea to take into consideration of things like atmosphere that play such a big role in how your clients will perceive you. Many people have found that atmosphere is a key factor in how a customer will decide if they wish to give you business or take it elsewhere. This means a nicer atmosphere will ideally result in more customers and customers who would return again. Taking a longer lease is usually the best idea and something to keep in mind when you’re looking at starting to furnish your establishment. By taking part in a longer furniture lease you will have lower monthly payments that offer better value in the long run. Companies offering furniture leasing tend to have a great deal of styles of furniture and the colours that they come in for you to choose from and it’s definitely a bonus as it allows you to really personalize what you decide to lease to your taste and the identity that you are illustrating throughout the establishment. The benefits greatly outweigh the costs when it comes to leasing furniture and is definitely a great option for anyone who wishes to save money in the long run.

Office Furniture Oklahoma City Ok

1. Eggs Those the supermarket sells can be a month old by the time they hit the shelves, and the hens that lay them are given antibiotics which are then transferred to the eggs. Small wonder then that people will be eager to buy the jewels laid fresh from your homestead. Keep your hens in a chicken tractor – a moveable chicken coop – so they can have access to fresh grass and insects every day. Your eggs will be free range and far more valuable. You can sell them for twice what the supermarket charges.

2. Beef Got an acre or two with grass? Consider buying a calf in early spring. He will keep your grass mowed. Then in the fall let friends and coworkers know you have a steer ready to be butchered. You won’t be able to sell individual portions of meat, but what you can do is sell the steer for a certain amount per pound on the hoof. That way, several people can go in together, buy the steer, pay for the butchering costs and divide the meat. They get fresh, grass-fed beef at a great price and you kept your grass mowed all summer and got paid to do it.

3. Honey Consider keeping a bee hive on your land. Not only will you get delicious, raw honey, but also those busy bees will pollinate your garden and make it more productive. Raw honey grown locally is also a boon for those with allergies. Take a tablespoon per day and it will help you become immune to the pollens that grow in your area. Like fresh eggs, local raw honey is more valuable than the store-bought brand, and you can sell it for a higher price.

4. Raw Milk Babies who are lactose intolerant thrive on raw goat’s milk. And now many advocates are speaking out against pasteurized cow’s milk as well, arguing that the raw version is more nutritious and surprisingly safer than the pasteurized product you see on supermarket shelves. Find your own Bessie, milk her, and customers will come.

5. Grow A Fruit Orchard If you have land with a few extra acres, you could consider planting an orchard. This is a long-term investment that could pay off in five or ten years. People love picking their own fruit for canning, freezing or just plain eating. By letting them pick, you keep your costs down and they get the satisfaction of picking their own fresh fruit right off the tree.

6. Grow Grapes Even in Oklahoma – where I am from – there are several wineries that are looking for locally grown grapes. Provide those grapes and earn some extra income off your land. Or if you don’t want to pick them, charge people to come in and pick their own fresh grapes.

7. Keep A Greenhouse Sell vegetable and flower plants in the early spring. In the winter, raise tomatoes and lettuce to sell.

8. Sell Fresh Produce Dig an extra garden and sell organically grown tomatoes, squash and corn. Nothing beats fresh, locally grown produce, and again, people will often pay double what they would pay for supermarket fare.

9. Homemade Soap If you have dairy goats, you can use some of the fresh milk to make wonderful soap that nourishes the skin. You can sell your soap at craft fairs and the local farmer’s market.

10. Have A Pumpkin Patch, Corn Maze Or Petting Zoo Hitch a wagon up to a tractor and offer a hay ride. Keep rabbits, a donkey and lambs. Hang a swing from a tree so city kids can experience country life for a day.

11. Sell Chicken Tractors, Complete With Hens Build small chicken tractors and sell them to city folk complete with a few laying hens. Raise the hens from fertilized eggs hatched from your incubator, and you will keep your costs down. This is a boon to people who live in town and would love fresh eggs, but don’t have much space.

12. Offer Homesteading Classes Many people are yearning for simpler times and would love to become more self-reliant. You can show others how to milk a cow or goat, how to can vegetables, grow a garden or make cheese.

13. Dried Herbs These can be used for cooking, for medicinal purposes or just to smell good. Make and sell sachets or tea. Write a small booklet describing the benefits of the particular herb you are selling and attach it to the packet with a ribbon.

14. Jam We have wild blackberries on our property, usually enough to make several pints of jam. Or make jam out of something unusual, such as garlic or rose petals. Sell the jam to co-workers and at craft fairs, etc.

These are just a few of the ways you can make money off your land, and I suspect there are many more. All it takes is some imagination and energy. Opportunities await. Go for it!

Office Furniture Layout Design

office furniture layout design

Planning landscaping and the type of outdoor furniture that one will incorporate in the garden at the same time is very beneficial. Many people find that by planning their furniture and the theme of their garden allows flexibility and organization in design. A person is not faced with the challenge of finding furniture that will fit their garden, but rather planting their garden around the furniture.

Proper furniture placement allows one to use many parts of a garden that would have been neglected. A stone bench can become the focal point for seasonal flowers and plants. By adding lighting this area is functional and beautiful in the daytime and at night.

Using the areas around water falls and ponds allows one more space and a place to relax. By placing a small table and chairs on the edge of a pond, one can enjoy the garden and the calm sound of water as they read or drink a cup of coffee. In the evening, a soft glow from landscape lighting artfully placed around the pond and tables provides a welcome haven when one is escaping a busy day.

Planning outdoor furniture placement in corners of the garden that normally are left unseen allows one to create a nook in the garden. This area can be hidden with tall plant, house a waterfall, or also contain a small table. A corner garden bench fits perfectly in the corners of gardens and create extra seating space when there are guests in the garden.

By placing small benches along a garden path one can easily create the illusion of more depth in a garden. Using benches that provide areas for two people to sit and chat creates an environment that inspires chats and conversation. Using stone garden benches allows one the flexibility of employing lighting for both the path and bench. This creates a feeling of security and warmth in the garden.

Using outdoor furniture and lighting to create whimsy in a garden can change a garden that is regular by day into an enchanted island. By placing twinkling into trees over a garden tree bench, one can enjoy the play of lights throughout the yard and sit comfortably on their bench under the tree.

Creating a garden theme with landscaping and outdoor furniture will require that an individual be aware of their region’s climate. In areas where there is inclement weather it is wise to use benches, tables, and other furniture that is durable and sturdy. This furniture will withstand the inclement weather and will not need to be stored in the winter.

Areas that enjoy sunshine through most of the year will have more types of furniture to choose from. On may wish to utilize the more lightweight outdoor furniture and create landscaping that is open and airy to match. This furniture employs the use of tubular aluminum and are used in modern and contemporary designs because of the use of glass and high gloss colors.

The structure and organization of a more organized garden lends itself beautifully to the ornate and detailed wrought iron furniture that is available. This furniture is available in aluminum wrought iron or cast wrought iron. Both types of furniture are heavy and provide a garden with the classic elegance of the past.

For parties, a garden that contains many areas where individuals can chat intimately is a delight. One can employ the use of several small garden tables, chairs, benches, and garden corner benches to create several places in a small garden for guests to talk.

Discussing one’s needs with a professional who knows the types of outdoor furniture that are available will be very helpful. This person will be able to advise on the best type of garden furniture to select to create the theme that one wishes in their garden.

Office Chair Neck Support

by richard on Oct.13, 2003, under Office Chairs

office chair neck support

There are various types of ergonomic chairs developed by cutting edge scientific studies that meet the growing needs of human centered workplace orientation. Ergonomics is a scientific specialty who’s time has come especially with the onset of computer task related jobs that require workers to sit long periods of time preforming repetitive functions. Other office jobs such as drafting, art design and many other sedentary tasks now require worker accommodation in seating to enhance the best productivity as well as to avoid some serious injuries. Even those who work at home or enjoy certain hobbies benefit from the use of certain types of ergonomic chairs.

An ergonomic office chair has several benefits to both workers and employers. Since ergo chairs are produced to fit the body as it performs certain tasks, workers undergo less body stress while working, enjoy better positioning throughout the day and can move more freely during repetitive, sedentary job tasks. This helps to keep employees from sustaining work-related injuries such as carpal tunnel, repetitive motion syndrome and serious back injuries. Employers benefit from providing to their employees ergonomically designed task chairs by receiving greater productivity from healthy, happy employees and from settling substantially less workmen’s compensation cases due to work-related task injuries.

There are several types of ergonomic chairs that are especially important that are best for the typical office jobs. Here are 3 of the most beneficial:

Ergonomic Kneeling Chair

This type of seating is specially designed to reduce pressure from the seat area of the body and transfer it to the shin/leg area. The user is allowed to sit upright while aligning the spine during all movements and reduces pressure on the neck, shoulders, back and lumbar region. The knee chair is usually made to allow movements while working so as to relieve sedentary stress especially caused by computer related work.

Ergonomic Task Chair

A task chair is also a chair that helps those in repetitive movement oriented jobs such as computer, drafting and design. This chair can be adjusted to height of legs, arm extensions, and back position. Casters, lumbar support and other features can found among the large array of task chairs to suit just about anyone.

High Back Ergonomic Office Chair

Many high back ergonomic office chairs are designed with luxury in mind and are often purchased for executives or home offices. The large majority of these seating units are made in leather and provide ample headrests, armrests, lumbar support, and many adjustable features. Some even come with massage and heating units that help to soothe tired, aching muscles during those long working hours.

There are many types of office chairs, but choosing an ergonomic seating option is usually the best value for your health and your money. Be sure to compare prices, features, options, shipping and warranties before selecting the right chair among the many types of ergonomic chairs.

Feng Shui Office Furniture Placement

by richard on Oct.10, 2003, under Office Funiture

Has feng shui worked for you? If so, how?

Feng shui (pronounced fung-shway), the pattern of wind & water, is the Taoist art and science of living in harmony with the environment.

It includes the placement of one’s home or business on the building site, the arrangement of furnishings within the home and office and the purposeful design of interiors and landscapes to enhance chi, the life-giving energy. Taken to it’s deepest level, feng shui creates external environments to enhance the journey of the soul.

Feng shui is an environmental medicine creating the frequencies which stimulate well-being. It places the ordinary items of your daily material reality, such as plants, furniture, lighting and color, in positions which create a harmonic resonance with good fortune.

Feng shui worked awesomely for the company I used to work for. They were a very small natural supplement company, and after a Feng Shui master came into the office and recommended changes, there was more of a sense of harmony and free flowing energy. The company MORE than surpassed the million dollar a year mark they were aiming for.
