My father once told me a story about a man riding a horse into a dark tunnel. The horse suddenly stops and refuses to go into the tunnel. The man takes out his handkerchief blind folds the horse and continues to ride. Suddenly, in front of him the man sees a huge hole and he panics. Thinking quickly the man jumps off the horse and lands safely. Meanwhile the horse falls to his death into the hole. Whose fault is it that the horse died?

If no one in your company is auditing the payment of utilities on an annual basis (electric, gas, water, telephone, trash) you are no better off then being led into the dark tunnel blindfolded. As CFO of your company you have no idea what’s being paid and if it’s being paid properly. During the 17th century and 18, the tableware is known to have acquired a lot of popularity. In that time period, the average family simply can not afford different furniture to pay for each activity. Furniture was expensive to get and most of the income of people were not very high. It is still possible to find the old who are over a hundred years old if they did well and properly maintained.

Throbbing pain. Vice-like pinching. Pressure. Tension. There are many ways to describe a headache and recent research has shown that headaches to be more than just a mere annoyance. Headaches are also a major headache for the United States, where 157 million work days – which represents almost 13 billion U.S. dollars! – Are lost every year due to job losses caused by headaches. Fortunately, recent research has also shown that regular massage therapy can help lessen the intensity, duration and number of tension headache, a pain that 78 percent of Americans experience in their life.

The effectiveness of massage to prevent and reduce pain caused by headaches is another reason why people should use massage to improve their health and quality of life. However, this research could in turn be a blessing for those who not only suffer from frequent headaches but, in contrast, chronic tension-type headache.

There are three types of tension headaches: episodic induced headache, stress can be treated with prescription medicines and generally only occurs once a month or less frequently, which occurs 2 to 15 times per month and is usually associated with symptoms of migraine and can not be alleviated effectively to through medication and chronic diseases, headaches occur in more than 15 times per month and may even be a day or continuously for many days. Researchers have shown that massage was very helpful in relieving the pain of those interminable suffering from the latter, chronic tension headache.

While The exact cause of these chronic tension headaches have not been scientifically proven, researchers believe that chemical imbalances and tighten the muscles on the scalp and neck are the primary causes. Massage has been shown to stimulate the immune system, relieve stress and relax muscles, it seems evident that massage can alleviate these symptoms and reduce chronic headaches.

However, it was not until 2002 in an article published in the American Journal of Public Health, researchers actually conducted a scientific study on the effects of massage on pain of chronic tension-type head. Those who suffer from the disease were monitored for a period of four weeks to assess the duration, strength and frequency of their headaches. They were then treated with two, thirty-minute massages a week for four weeks. Massage focused on specific areas of the neck and head, and his symptoms of headache were monitored throughout this period. The results were astounding.

Patients who were experiencing headaches 5, 6, 7 times a week began to see the frequency of their headaches to decrease by 2 to 3 times a week. The duration of headache patients, which had averaged 8 hours before they massage administered was reduced to 4 hours. And while one patient experienced an increase in headache intensity in the period after they were given massages, other participants in the study saw a decreased intensity of your headaches, some almost 50 percent.

The researchers noted that more studies are needed to to increase the number of participants and the strength of the results and determine the effect of stretching and relaxation techniques are also used in the study was on improving the conditions of patients with chronic headache.

However, the study results were spectacular, especially for serious chronic stress conditions that type headache sufferers may develop if your pain is relieved. These conditions include: insomnia, depression, weight loss, dizziness, nausea and other emotional problems. Victims of chronic disease, tension headaches can also become addicted to painkillers and antidepressants. If research of this study is true, massage would offer them a drug-free alternative to address their pain.

President Barack Obama has outlined recently that acupuncture has been shown to relieve chronic headaches and could be used as an alternative to more invasive and expensive operation or medication. He said let science guide him in deciding what forms of therapy include a national health care. If alternative forms, such as acupuncture and massage, was scientific, treatment outcomes, which would pursue. Today, millions of Americans to miss work and lose money due to chronic tension headaches, the type of massage may be pursued to achieve that the therapeutic outcome are undoubtedly looking for.

Anyone who is serious about crafting knows – all the supplies that accumulate take up a lot of space. Some are lucky enough to have a craft room with a permanent craft table in it. For those of us that aren’t so lucky, the kitchen table usually does the trick. It is not wise to use the kitchen table, however, because of the risk of damage.

When you are using glues, paints, or sharp objects like knives or scissors, your kitchen table can pay the price.

As an alternative, consider using a folding table. You can find sturdy, durable folding tables in a variety of sizes and for a variety of prices. I have even seen a very creative suggestion including sawhorses and a flat-surface door. Use adjustable sawhorses as the legs of your table. Use the door as the top. For added protection, you can seal the door. The advantage to folding tables, or the sawhorse table, is that they can be taken down and stored under beds or in closets when not in use.

When you are purchasing or setting up your craft table keep in mind that certain shapes are easier to work in, a T shape, a U shape, or an L shape. As an example, you could put one long folding table against the wall and put another shorter table or ironing board perpendicular to the end of the table (to make an L shape). Then, you have what you need within close range.

You can also purchase desks or craft tables that are already in an L shape. Another idea for ease of use while working, buy a plastic mat made to go under a desk, and an office chair with rollers. You can glide from one end of your craft table to the other!

You can use empty wall space and extra closet space to store you craft supplies. Take advantage of empty wall space by hanging shelves or peg board. If you hang hooks on the wall in front of your craft table, you can have the tools you need most often within your reach. In the closet, you can install shelves to hold containers, or you can use clothing rods to hang fabrics. When choosing containers, you should always go clear. It will help you find things easily if you can see what is in the container. Permanent or moveable cabinet units can be put under or next to your craft table for added storage.
